Hello fellow Teams enthusiasts!

I've got some exciting news to share that's going to make managing meeting transcript files a whole lot easier. Microsoft Teams is stepping up its game by streamlining the process of viewing, downloading, and deleting transcript files – and it's all happening in OneDrive for Business.

Here's the lowdown:

Starting in April 2024, Teams will begin saving meeting transcript files exclusively in OneDrive for Business for transcription-only meetings. This means you'll no longer have to juggle between OneDrive and Exchange Online to access your transcripts – everything you need will be conveniently located in one place.

When this will happen: For those in the targeted release, keep an eye out for the rollout in early April 2024, wrapping up by mid-April 2024. And for everyone else worldwide, GCC, GCC High, and DoD, you can expect the feature to roll out by mid to late April 2024.

How this will affect your organization: Currently, if your admin has transcription enabled, you're probably used to accessing transcript files from both OneDrive for Business and Exchange Online. But with this update, we're streamlining the process by ditching the Exchange Online storage. Don't worry – we'll keep you in the loop with any updates right here.

What you need to do to prepare: The best part? No action required on your end. Sit back, relax, and let Teams do the heavy lifting. Of course, feel free to spread the word to your team and update any documentation as needed.

So there you have it – a smoother, more streamlined experience for managing your meeting transcript files in Microsoft Teams. Get ready to say goodbye to the juggling act and hello to effortless efficiency!

Cheers to simpler workflows ahead! 🚀
