Erik is Editor-in-Chief of TekkiGurus. He has worked in computer education for software professionals since the mid-90s through editing, training, conferences and project management. A Certified Professional Project Manager (CPPM), Erik also works at CODE as a project manager and helps with CODE Magazine. He has been a member of PMI Minnesota since 2017. In his spare time, he cycles, plays D&D and does non-profit work. Erik spent ten years as a volunteer for the A Better Chance foundation, three years as a volunteer commissioner for the Edina Transportation Commission, and now volunteers for streets.mn as a content editor and member of the executive board.

The Attack That Got Us to This Point and the Next One Coming
I vividly remember working for a company when we had a ransomware attack and everything shifted. We weren't one of those big companies you read about in the news, but wow did it feel significant at the time. "Those companies" that failed to be secure became "us." Years later, I find myself in the role of an M365 Admin and we have everything in the cloud, and I realize AI tools could aid in making something like that happen again.
